Diesel Discourse with Amy Millar

What’s pop’n? In this week’s edition of Diesel Discourse, I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my closest friends, and fellow trainer, Amy Millar. Amy and I met while I was living in Los Angeles, and she has since then gone on to become a 1st place NPC Bikini competitor, a trainer, and a Vegan Health & Wellness Coach.

In the following interview, we discuss how Amy:

    • Prepared for her NPC Bikini Competition
    • Decided to become a Vegan
    • Fuels her training on a plant-based diet
    • Helps her clients transition to a plant-based lifestyle with her customized programs
    • Trains to be a diesel ninja

  1. Hahah what an awesome interview. The intro is in a similar vein to Al’s (Keep that going!)

Amy mentioned an intriguing point at 3.52, about recovery levels in reference to vegan based eating. I’ve often wondered why that is the case? And at 6.25 the fundamentals of cali are mentioned and this totally had me nodding my head in agreement!

I look forward to the next interview of #discourse and as always – keep up the fantastic work Grace.

    Sincere regards

    Tommo

    1. Hey Tommo, yes!! Al definitely has quite an influence on me! haha, so AWESOME of you to notice! 😉
I have a theory about Amy’s point about her improved recovery levels since becoming vegan. I think meat in general takes a lot more “energy” in order to digest in the body as opposed to plant-based foods. Perhaps since she is no longer eating meat, that energy is being funneled into healing her body in between workouts.
I’m so happy you agree about how important it is to have a strong foundation in the cali basics! Those are forever useful and never go out of style!
Thank you again for taking the time to thoroughly listen and watch this interview, Tommo! I’ve got a new interview in the editing blocks with another awesome female vegan athlete!
Be on the lookout for that and have a RAD day, brotha!

      Grace
