What’s pop’n ninjas? Today is Friday and I’m having an awesome day! Just finished training two of my favorite female clients, both of which are making some serious strides! I can’t believe it took me so long to realize that I have such a passion for personal training. I love teaching folks how to workout effectively and also how to enjoy it! Exercise should never feel like a chore, it should feel about as natural as brushing your teeth or showering every day.
Anyway, my babe Al is off in Virginia teaching PCC –and I’m home with my pal Weezy! As fitness professionals, the both of us know the value of staying fit and eating to fuel our workouts! If you ask most trainers they’ll tell you that besides exercising, eating is one of our favorite things! Living in New York is such a blessing because we have access to so much AMAZING food…..all types of cuisine from all over the world! It’s a beautiful thing!
However, mostly I prefer to save the decadent dinners for when my honey is here! So while he’s off teaching ninjas how to master their bodyweight, I tend to prepare most of my meals at home! At the suggestions of one of my closest friends and fabulous hairstylist, Rachel Phillips, I decided to try a new dish — sardines. If you don’t know much about this tiny canned fish, let me fill you in.
Sardines are a great source of Vitamin D, which is rare, because mostly our intake of this vitamin comes from the sun. They also deliver high amounts of Iron, Phosphorous, Magnesium, Copper, Zinc and Omega 3 healthy fats. That’s quite a punch for such a small fish! So here’s a quick Vlog about the delectable experience:
In case you’re curious about what I buy when I go shopping, here’s my latest grocery list:
Hope ya’ll enjoyed a glimpse into my muscle-foods! I may officially have to make a Foodie Friday! If you have any other questions about nutrition, training, or would like to see a new tutorial, contact me! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Til next time, Peace ❤ and Ninja Kicks!
